Richard Burton's 'A Christmas Story' New Jazz Suite, Composed by Dave Cottle The New Suite Premieres DECEMBER 10th, 8pm, Swansea Grand Theatre With full narration of the story and the new jazz suite Performing the 2nd tune in the suite 'OFF YOU GO BOYO' recorded by Dave Cottle (Piano), Laurence Cottle (Bass), Mike Connolly (Drums), Simon Allen (Tenor Sax), Richard Cottle (Studio & Mixing) To add some visuals and as a nod to 'MAD' Uncle Dan, a little bit of Slapstick from Bruce Forsyth & Norman Wisdom in the video!

'A Christmas Story' was written by Richard Burton in 1965. Having lost his mother at only 2 years of age, Richard is living with his older sister in Port Talbot by the age of 8. It's Christmas Eve and Richard is pondering Christmas gifts. However he is worried that his sister is about to die as she has taken to her bed and many people are attending to her. He is told to leave the house and goes out around the town accompanied by his Uncle, 'Mad Dan' a bit of an off the wall character. They head off towards the bonfire at 'the end' where miners and the community are gathered. This piece 'Off you go Boyo' reflects on that moment with his 'Mad' Uncle Dan as they head off out.
