 Rob Barron Quartet
With regular appearances at the Ronnie Scott’s Late Late Show and at venues such as the 606 clubs, the band has developed a close musical rapport around a shared passion for music from the hardbop era.

Drawing influences from the classic groups of the period such as the Wes Montgomery and George Shearing Quartets and more modern groups such as the Peter Bernstein/Mike Ledonne Quartet, the band plays new exciting arrangements of timeless popular songs from Rodgers and Hart to Stevie Wonder as well as original compositions.

MONSTERS ON A LEASH - 'The music of Tower of Power played by a stunning line-up comprising the finest and funkiest of London’s West-End players - prepare for a 'funky good time!'

The Monsters were born and raised in North America, fuelled on Motown and Funk, and seasoned on the road. Today after relocating to London they can be found playing their Tower of Power and Motown party sets in London’s exclusive hotels, nightclubs, aboard cruise ships and many city events throughout the year. The 10 piece band comprises of diverse performance credits from the Spice Girls to West End Shows, the Hard Hitting Rhythm Section, Power Horns and energy filled vocals will leave you gasping for air and nailed to the dance floor!

Alan is a firm favourite of ours at Swansea Jazzland. His impressive career has included two years with the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, three years with the Tommy Chase Quartet and four years with Humphrey Lyttelton’s Band. His work on clarinet and saxes covers a staggering range and he includes Lester Young, Charlie Parker and Sonny Rollins among his heroes. Alan played at the inaugural Swansea International Jazz Festival in June.

A great night on the way with the best of jazz, full of festive cheer and the party gets underway at 8pm!
