Young french jazz pianist introduces his modern jazz trio - Paying tribute to some of main influences : Claude Debussy - along with others XXth century classical composers - and « maloya » rhythm, coming from Reunion Island.
Heavily influenced by Pink Floyd, discovered at 15, young award-winning French pianist Etienne Manchon, former student of Paris CNSM, is also inspired by the incredible keyboard player Jozef Dumoulin and the irresistible NYC musicians (Ben Wendel, Mark Guiliana, Taylor Eigsti).
Using rhythm as his main playground, Etienne develops in parallel a keen sense of melody while paying particular attention to sound processing.
After lots of versatile experiences as a leader and sideman (Jeff Ballard, Daniel Humair, Tom Ibarra, Nicolas Gardel & The Headbangers), the 23-year old pianist decides to start his own trio with two of the most talented young musicians on the Parisian scene : Clément Daldosso on double bass (André Ceccarelli, Jean-Michel Pilc, Alain Jean-Marie) and Théo Moutou (Giovanni Mirabassi, Riccardo del Fra) on drums.
